How To Find True Love
True love is more than just a feeling. It’s an alignment. Are we for each other? Do we seek to build one another up? Are my desires aligned with your desires?
True love is mutual. It is given and received. And its fruit is peace, love and joy. When love is true, it brings forth good. It seeks to honor, protect, uplift, and esteem the one it loves. When love is true, it perseveres in good. It seeks what is best, both for oneself and the other person. It does not use another at the expense of another’s well-being.
True love is true to what is good, noble and praiseworthy. It makes us feel secure and fills our hearts with gladness. It is life-giving, life-enriching, and life-lifting. True love builds us up. It does not tear us down. It is not punishing. It does not seek to harm, shame, or denigrate us. It seeks to see the good in us triumph. And as it nurtures and uplifts the good, true love inspires others to seek, pursue, and live in true love in their own lives.

Tanzania
Tanzania, its animals and people are breathtaking. I visited Tanzania during The Great Migration. I enjoyed photography, writing, and visiting the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Taringire National Park and the Masai people. The lions are so majestic. The elephants at Taringire National Park are mesmerizing. The Masai are friendly and fierce. They are friendly to visitors but they drink a mixture of cow’s milk and cow’s blood, so even the lions are afraid of them. The Great Migration takes place in July. A visit to the Serengeti is made complete by enjoying a hot air balloon ride to see The Great Migration from the air.

Be Still
“Be still and know I am God.” Psalm 46:10
The Lord will fight for you. You need only be still. (Exodus 14;14). The Lord wants us to take time to be still and rest in His glorious, loving presence. He is bigger than anything you are going through today. May the strength of His love, peace and presence be your comfort today.

To Love and Be Loved
To loved and be loved…It’s our greatest desire. I want you to know that you are loved! Fully and completely loved! Jesus Christ loves you with an everlasting love. He longs to draw you into a deeper love relationship with Him. He wants you to go deeper in His love and to let His love abound in every part of your life. He is the Giver of all good gifts. The greatest gift He wants to give you is the gift of His love. Are you ready to receive it? You are loved! Jesus loves you. He loves you all the time. And He wants you to love Him, too. He has loved us with an everlasting love. He has drawn us to Himself with unfailing kindness. Let us be kind to ourselves with His unfailing kindness.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” ~ God Jeremiah 31:3
Be Strong
God does not just want you to be strong. He wants you to be strong in Christ. When we are strong in our own power, the pressure is on us. When we are strong in Christ, the pressure is on Him. He took on the weight of the world and our sin by His death on the cross for us so we may live for Him.
The Bible says, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” What is this joy? At first glance, it almost seems flippant or trite to say, “Oh, have joy in the midst of the suffering you are going through.” But The Lord has already carried the full weight of what you are going through on the cross. He paid the price for it by shedding His own blood for our sin and the sin of those who sinned against us – the sin of the whole world!
Jesus The Christ was crucified, died, and was buried. And on the third day He rose again – resurrected from the dead! — for you! In doing so, He conquered sin, death, hell and the grave so they hold no victory. Rather, Christ holds the victory!
This great strength which He gives to us through the power of The Holy Spirit is the strength of His love. To be strong in Christ and in His love is to forgive. To be strong in Christ is to exercise self-restraint in one’s words instead of lashing out when one is angry or hurt. To be strong in Christ is to seek His love to cover over you in mercy and to give that same covering to others in their vulnerability before God and man. His strength is grace-based, based on His unmerited favor. By who He is and His great love, He has conquered sin, death, hell and the grave. Pray and ask The Lord to help you walk in His strength today.
“Be strong in The Lord and in His mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10
You Are Loved!
You are loved! No matter what you are going through, you are loved! No matter what anyone says, you are loved! Jesus Christ loves you with an everlasting love. It is a love no one can take away from you! Are you ready to live a life in love?! The love of Jesus Christ?! There is nothing like it and no one like Him. He longs to draw you close and love you like you’ve never known. He is peace, love, joy and strength. He has the first and last word on all things because His word is the ultimate word on all things. And God says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love!” (Jeremiah 31:3). You are loved!
Lion Sleeping
This lion was sleeping in the middle of the day in the Serengeti. He looked so restful when I saw him that I had to get his picture. He slept through it! Rest, sweet rest…Aaaaahhh.
